Nestled along Kota Kinabalu’s waterfront, Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu elevates luxury hospitality through meticulously curated interior that merges European sophistication with Sabahan cultural motifs. The lobby features vertical bamboo-inspired poles symbolising local abundance, topped with a dramatic fish scale ceiling that pays homage to Sabah’s marine heritage.

The rooftop bar offers panoramic views of the South China Sea and the vibrant sunset spectacle known as ‘Sunset in Motion.’ Sea green seating and marine murals done by Wilson Ng enhance the immersive, coastal ambiance. The pool’s design features aquamarine tiles arranged in a squared, Sabah-inspired tribal pattern, offering a thoughtful cultural emphasis to the region’s heritage. 

Lyf Farrer Park

Situated in a historic district of Singapore, Lyf Farrer Park is a vibrant co-living space with 240 rooms ranging from studios to two-bedroom ensuites. Aarticle designed the property to reflect the fast-paced, interconnected lifestyles of Millennials and Gen Zs. 

Guests are greeted by a profusion of bright colours; playful furniture; and whimsical lighting fixtures, all of which supercharge the public spaces with jolts of energy. Communal areas like lounges, kitchens and laundry areas are orchestrated to encourage social interaction. 

Art plays a significant role in the property’s unique atmosphere, featuring local artwork and cultural motifs tied to Farrer Park’s rich history. Whimsical pieces reference the area’s 19th century origins as a racetrack, connecting guests to Singapore’s heritage and the strong connection to its surroundings.

AMI Patisserie

Drawing from Kyoto’s traditional Kyo-machiya townhouses, Aarticle transformed the former ancillary structure into AMI Patisserie’s serene urban retreat. The facade features minimalist timber lattice and flat roof reminiscent of traditional koshi screens — allowing filtered light and privacy in harmony with the owner’s values of simplicity and humility.

Set on a verdant corner plot, the patisserie unfolds with large picture windows that embrace the garden’s greenery — a nod to the Japanese engawa concept of fluid, transitional space. Warm timber, soft cream hues, and shoji-inspired partitions evoke simplicity, celebrating natural materials and harmony with nature. Gentle curves in the counters and seating echo Kyoto’s refined aesthetic, creating intimate moments that feel sculpted yet serene. The result is a subtly layered space where traditional Japanese architectural values resonate through every detail; a contemporary sanctuary rooted in heritage.

Aarticle led the design of ZEEKR’s Singapore showroom, a three storey space that serves as a luxurious gateway into the premium EV brand. The bold facade features an expansive LED billboard and a striking cutaway in the shape of the ZEEKR logo clad in orange tinted glass.

Stepping into the space, the first level presents the lineup of ZEEKR’s latest EV models. The lounge on the second level invites customers into an immersive ZEEKR lifestyle experience. Aarticle’s design combines polished chrome, stainless steel, and LED accents to create a sleek, racetrack-inspired atmosphere, mirroring the brand’s high performance image. 

Curved and straight architectural lines reflect ZEEKR’s aerodynamic forms, while light wood panelling on the upper level softens the tech-forward feel. The result is a dynamic, immersive space that perfectly balances luxury, innovation, and lifestyle.

XPENG opened its first flagship showroom in Singapore, marking a major milestone in the brand’s 10 year global journey. Spanning nearly 8,700 sqft across two storeys, the showroom embraces Scandinavian-inspired design, featuring minimalist white tones, light wood accents, and seamless lighting to create an expansive and welcoming atmosphere. At the heart of the space is a striking 12 metre LED wall showcasing a lineup of XPENG’s latest electric vehicles, including the G6 coupe SUV.

The basement unfolds into three distinct design zones. A lounge area defined by Scandinavian-inspired materials and soft lighting. Adjacent is a cafe bar that blends form and function through its clean lines and cohesive palette. To complete the experience, a private consultation suite provides an elegant and comfortable setting for personalised discussions.

DEEPAL’s Singapore showroom captures a personified cultural essence through a futuristic design language crafted from the ‘Spirit of Water,’ creating an immersive, dynamic environment that mirrors the brand’s vision to drive a better future. Pillar wrapped LED screens and spacious display zones that can accommodate up to 12 vehicles were complemented by a cozy lounge, cafe and kid-friendly area.

The design balances dramatic flair with thoughtful interaction. Curved walkways and fluid lighting the movement of water, reinforcing DEEPAL’s identity through a tangible experience. The showroom’s layout encourages exploration and discovery, reflecting an immersive and dynamic brand presence that aligns with DEEPAL’s mission of intelligent, nature-integrated mobility.

New Future Holdings

Aarticle designed New Future’s Singapore office in Millenia Tower, drawing inspiration from Shanghai’s Yuyuan Garden. Drawing on the garden’s poetic pathways and framed vistas, the office features scenic granite walkways and tranquil transitions. Aarticle aimed to channel the serene essence into an inspiring environment, nurturing creativity and collaboration among the firm’s employees.

Metal screens define zones, marble floors guide movement, and a saltwater fish tank adds a modern touch to traditional water features. Hexagonal desks, inspired by pagoda geometry, and bespoke European furnishings from Danish Design Co and Space Furniture complete the space with elegance and comfort.

Boscombe House, crafted by ACO Architects, embodies exceptional build quality and meticulous attention to detail. Positioned on a corner site, the residence strikes a balance between seclusion and abundant natural light. A pathway flanked by elevated planters leads down to a naturally ventilated, drive-in basement housing guest rooms and entertainment areas. The main living spaces are elevated to frame neighbourhood views while preserving privacy.

The exterior textures come to life as twisted, champagne-finished metal fins catch the sunlight. An expansive deck extends into a striking 15m cantilevered lap pool, creating a seamless transition from indoor spaces to outdoor living. Every detail, from structure to materials, reflects ACO Architects’ commitment to a holistic design process that integrates human experience, contextual relevance and technical precision.

Merryn House was reimagined by ACO Architects and Architology Interiors to flow naturally — harmonising refined elegance with accessible living. The redesign emphasises on human experience, weaving seamless movement from the gate inward, including a concealed ramp that enhances accessibility and aesthetic cohesion.

The original structure was reshaped into distinct wings, creating a harmonious balance between social living and private quarters. Outdoor zones were unified, transforming an awkward pool into a cohesive entertainment area anchored by a dramatic spiral staircase that connects formal living to leisure spaces. Practical design choices such as pivot doors, acoustic windows and a new elevator enhance long-term livability, while corridor galleries display the owner’s art to introduce a personal narrative. Through deliberate planning and material choice, Merryn House emerges as a unified living experience that is harmoniously integrated.

ACO Architects’ design for the Embassy of the Philippines in Singapore was transformed into both a secure institution and a cultural landmark. Rooted in post-pandemic diplomacy, the project celebrates the Filipino identity while addressing its operational needs. A bold geometric Bubong roof in sleek aluminium offers tropical protection while symbolizing welcome under the Mabuhay spirit.

Public visa processing is strategically positioned in the Silong, separating public and private zones while minimising security bottlenecks. Courtyards located beneath enhance cross-ventilation and feature a sunken garden in the visa area, echoing the iconic rice terraces and providing comfort for nationals abroad. 

Upper floor Silid offices feature bamboo-inspired sunshading screens that filter light and cast dynamic shadows. Rich details, from brass railings to tapestry-style partitions, celebrates Filipino craftmanship. The Embassy exemplifies the convergence of intelligent design, modern technology and cultural heritage to deliver a transformative and meaningful experience.

ACO Architects recently completed a transformative refurbishment of Bungaraya Island Resort, blending luxury hospitality with deep respect for local culture and the natural environment. The arrival pavilion is reimagined with diagonal Sabahan batik motifs woven into its architecture to create a poetic cultural narrative from the first encounter.

The firm prioritised sustainability by using locally sourced materials and labour, demonstrating ecological responsibility and meaningful community engagement. The all-day dining hall pays homage to the site’s mangrove heritage with root-like columns and mirrored ceilings that reflect foliage, deepens the guests’ connection to nature. Through thoughtful integration of landscape and architecture, ACO Architects redefines luxury, setting a new standard for eco-conscious resort design in Asia.

Perched in the exclusive Sentosa Cove, Architology Interiors transformed a Seascape villa duplex into a “bungalow-in-a-condo,” celebrating its proximity to the sea and setting new standards for waterfront luxury living. This serene coastal sanctuary blends luxury with design elements including vintage brass tiffin carriers Singapore and mid-century modern Swedish antiques, adding rich narratives to the home’s aesthetic.

Bespoke rugs from Tappeti and strategically angled custom shelving enhance the neutral colour palette, creating a harmonious and elegant atmosphere. The integration of natural materials and textures throughout the space emphasises a seamless connection to its coastal surroundings. This residence exemplifies understated luxury and thoughtful design, offering a tranquil coastal retreat.

The Sail @ Marina Bay

With panoramic views over the Singapore skyline, this iconic glass structure rises above Marina Bay like a sculpted sail. It stands as a bold expression of design innovation and modern waterfront living. Blending work, life, and leisure, it sets a new standard for the urban lifestyle in one of the city’s most vibrant districts. Drawing inspiration from collaborative efforts with NBBJ & Kiat Inc., the icon majestically soars 245 metres above sea level at the highest point, with two towers standing at 70 storeys (Tower 1) and 63 storeys (Tower 2) with 1,111 residential units. 

The open-concept apartments come in one to four bedroom layouts and penthouses. Each residence features premium fittings, branded appliances, and flexible spaces that can also function as home offices. Residents enjoy panoramic views of the city and bay, bringing elevated urban waterfront living to life. Throughout the lobby and signature spaces, bold design elements and rich tones create an atmosphere that echoes the elegance of a luxury hotel or private cruise.

MYP Centre

MYP Centre (formerly known as “Straits Trading Building”) stands in the heart of the Central Business District, its form reminiscent of a refined crystal shard. The striking 28 storey skyscraper that balances form, function, and modern elegance is designed with clean lines and a prismatic facade. The tower evokes a timeless obelisk, symbolising strength and clarity in the urban skyline.

The building comprises 19 levels of premium office space, four car park floors, two open-air sky terraces, and ground floor retail. Its column-free floor plates allow for flexible, customisable office layouts that adapt easily to changing tenant needs.

Two elevated gardens punctuate the vertical form, transforming intermediate floors into green sanctuaries. A modern reimagining of the Hanging Gardens, offering visual relief and a sense of calm within the corporate environment. With its sculptural geometry and emphasis on light, space and greenery, the MYP Centre redefines the experience of working in the city.

This hotel is designed around the concept of a “Hotel in the Garden,” complementing the lush, tropical setting of the Jurong Lake District. Greenery and landscaping are integral to the architecture, with sky terraces, rooftop gardens, and open lawns offering guests immersive views of the surrounding nature. These verdant spaces are strategically placed throughout the building. They can be found on the first and second storeys as well as at mid-levels and rooftop areas. This thoughtful arrangement creates a seamless connection between the built environment and the surrounding landscape.

Nestled along the crystal clear waters of Bintan’s Treasure Bay, Natra Bintan, formerly known as The Canopi, is a glamping resort that blends comfort with adventure. Surrounded by lush greenery and Southeast Asia’s first and largest man-made saltwater lagoon, the resort features safari-inspired tents designed with luxurious touches such as canopy beds, outdoor rain showers, and private garden patios.

The architecture pays homage to nature, combining rustic materials with modern comfort to create a laid-back, tropical escape. Guests can unwind in their private tented sanctuary or explore the lagoon with water sports, floating cabanas, and family-friendly activities just steps away.

Merging the rustic charm of a local resort with the vibrancy of a modern hotel, Mercure Bintan captures the spirit of Mercure’s welcome experience. The design draws inspiration from traditional kelong fishing villages, weaving in cultural elements such as fishing traps, woven baskets, jute textures, and batik textiles. These materials are reinterpreted in fresh, dynamic compositions, brought to life through bold colour accents and layered textures.

From the tactile materials to the curated local details, every corner of the hotel reflects Mercure’s brand values of authenticity, curiosity and boldness. Public spaces and guest rooms are infused with local flavours, offering travellers an experience that feels grounded in Bintan’s culture yet uplifted by refined amenities. Mercure Bintan is more than just a place to stay; it’s a getaway to the local spirit, reimagined for the modern guest.
