Frequently Asked Questions

For the best home theater acoustics, a combination of solutions is often required. At Aid, we specialize in creating immersive audio-visual experiences in residential settings. Our projects, like the home theater on Wan Tho Ave in Singapore, utilize a combination of Timberix™ grooved acoustic panels on walls and ceilings to manage sound reflections, and Fabrix™ acoustic panels in corners to control reverberation. This combination of acoustic panels for home theaters helps to achieve optimal sound clarity and a truly cinematic experience.

Improving soundproofing in a condominium is a common challenge that we address in our residential projects. In the Grange Infinite condominium project, we used a multi-faceted approach. We installed Fabrix™ acoustic panels on the ceiling to absorb mid-low frequencies and reduce resonance. Additionally, we integrated Timberix™ acoustic panels into the shelving units to soften sound reflections. These residential acoustic solutions help to create a quieter and more private living environment, minimizing noise from neighbors and within the unit itself.

Sustainable acoustic proofing for your home offers numerous benefits beyond just sound control. By using eco-conscious materials and smart design, we can improve natural ventilation, reduce noise, and contribute to energy-efficient living. Our sustainable home designs create healthier and more comfortable living spaces. For example, our use of high-performance materials not only enhances the acoustic comfort of your home but also contributes to its long-term efficiency and value.

For a modern home, you need acoustic panels that are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. Our Timberix™ grooved panels, available in various wood veneers like oak and black walnut, offer a sleek and contemporary look that can be seamlessly integrated into any modern interior design. Our Fabrix™ acoustic panels can be customized with a wide range of fabrics, allowing you to create a unique design feature, as seen in the piano key design at High Park Residences. These acoustic panels for modern homes provide excellent sound absorption without compromising on style.

Achieving specific acoustic specifications like STC 55 (Sound Transmission Class) requires careful planning and the use of high-performance materials. In our Ang Mo Kio Showflat project, we achieved an STC 55 rating by installing Timberix™ grooved panels with a 50mm insulation layer and a 50mm air cavity. This construction method effectively reduces sound transmission between spaces. Our team of experts, including acoustic contractors and consultants, works together to ensure that every project meets the required acoustic standards, whether it’s for a media hall, home theater, or a private residence.
